    383: Dahlia Marin is on the show today who is a Plant Based Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, who has used food as medicine on a whole food plant based diet for the past 10 years to overcome pre-diabetes, PCOS, GI issues, obesity, and Hashimoto’s Hypothyroidism, and she herself has experienced gut issues so she truly knows and understands the struggle when one comes to her seeking help and can personally relate and empathize with her patients. That's something I personally hate, is when you see a nutritionist or GI doctor who has never experienced gut issues yet they are telling you what to do or can't relate to yoru symptoms. Dahlia can! And she has answers for so many things! In today's conversation we discuss how exercise can actually be doing more harm than good when it comes to your digestion and IBS, how to get the most out of your meals and it may not be what you are eating per se, but when and how you are eating that is causing gut upsets. Dahlia also explains what the "Elemental Diet" is and how it works for a period of 21 days.....I do think the Elemental Diet is something we will be hearing more of in the coming years to help with people with severe gut issues and this is very similar to what I did over a decade ago when I almost died from IBS and other gut issues. If you know my story, I had a go on a pureed diet and puree all my food for 9 intense months and the Elemental Diet is not exactly that, but a bit similar so I can't wait for you to hear more about that and what it is. We also talk about biofilms, how to get rid of them, and if gut mucus is a good or bad thing plus so much more! - This is one of my favorite episodes this year and I don't say that lightly!
