The first is Photo Opp, an initiative launched by three multimedia professionals in the Fox Valley. The second is The Canary Fund, a nonprofit organization that gives microgrants to doers, founded after the death of ad agency president and graphic design veteran, Jim Rivett.

From comic books to children’s books, Robb Mommaerts creates detail-rich and extraordinary illustrations that grace a host of publications and projects. Carol talks to Robb about the art of using imagination and illustration to tell stories.

The street art we love owes its origins to the skateboard culture. Carol talks with artist and designer Beau Thomas about his graffiti beginnings and how his arrest at a tender age was the reckoning that redirected his energies into becoming a well-respected mural artist.

Carol is a highly creative, business-savvy marketing and communications professional with more than 30 years of experience in both corporate and agency. Her areas of expertise include brainstorming big ideas, crafting on-target communications, and steering exceptional advertising campaigns.
