Just before 2 a.m. on May 14, 2008, 19-year-old Brandon Swanson called his parents from a gravel road in southwestern Minnesota. His car was stuck in a ditch and he needed a ride. His parents drove out to find him but they were actually 25 miles apart. Forty-seven minutes into the call with his father, Brandon said two words and the line went silent. Brandon was never found. This week, Kaelyn is joined by Sabrina Deana-Roga and Alexis Linkletter, hosts of Crimes Of Reddit, to unpack the night Brandon Swanson walked into the dark.

Seventeen months later, her remains were found in the trunk of an impounded Tesla at a Hollywood tow yard—registered to rising R&B star David Burke, known as d4vd. Between 2002 and 2004, Ariel Castro abducted three young women — Michelle Knight, Amanda Berry, and Gina DeJesus — from neighborhoods near his home in Cleveland, Ohio, and held them captive for nearly a decade.
