Well, last week, we began a very important chapter in the book of Numbers, numbers, chapter 19, and we dealt with a very specific commandment. And that commandment had to do with what's called in Hebrew para aduma, which is that red heifer. And we learned that that red heifer has to be blameless. There cannot be any defect, or what the Bible calls a moon, which is a spot or blemish. So what we find here is that through this, this commandment having to do with the red heifer, what happens there is brought about a change. If we're going to understand our study today, there are two different words that we need to define properly, and the two words are in Hebrew, Raa and tov. What is Toph? Tov is the Hebrew word good. And when this word appears in the Bible, whether we're speaking about the Old or New Testament, when that word good appears there, it has to do with the will of God. God's will is always good. Well, we are going to see that we're talking about redemption, and redemption requires an offering, and normally that offering is one of blood. Now what we're talking about here is redeeming of the firstborn, and we're speaking about the firstborn of both a human being and also animals.
