ദിവസം 270: എസ്രായുടെ ദൈവാശ്രയത്തം - The Bible in a Year മലയാളം (with Fr. Daniel Poovannathil)
എസ്രായുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തിലുള്ള യഥാർത്ഥ ഉപവാസവും, മറുവശത്ത് സഖറിയായിൽ ദൈവം ജനത്തെ ശാസിക്കുന്ന ആത്മാർത്ഥതയില്ലാത്ത, അനുതാപമില്ലാത്ത ഉപവാസത്തെക്കുറിച്ചും ഇന്നു നാം ശ്രവിക്കുന്നു. ദൈവവചനം പഠിക്കാൻ താല്പര്യം കാണിച്ച എസ്രായോടു ശത്രുക്കളെപ്പോലും പ്രീതിയുള്ളവരാക്കി മാറ്റാൻ ദൈവം ഇടവരുത്തി. ദൈവത്തിൽ ആശ്രയിച്ചാൽ നമുക്ക് മനുഷ്യനെ ആശ്രയിക്കേണ്ടി വരില്ല. വ്യർത്ഥമായ ആചാരങ്ങൾ നിർവഹിക്കുന്നതിന് പകരം, പരസ്പരം സത്യം സംസാരിക്കുകയും, കലഹങ്ങൾ ഒഴിവാക്കുകയും, സഹോദരങ്ങളോട് സമാധാനത്തിൽ ജീവിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യണം എന്നും ഡാനിയേൽ അച്ചൻ നമ്മെ ഓർമിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

ജറുസലേം ദേവാലയത്തിൻ്റെ പണി പുനരാരംഭിക്കുന്നതും ദാരിയൂസ് രാജാവിൻ്റെ അനുകൂലവിളംബരവുമാണ് എസ്രായുടെ പുസ്തകത്തിൽ നാം കാണുന്നത്. സഖറിയായ്ക്കുണ്ടായ വിവിധ ദർശനങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചാണ് സഖറിയായുടെ ഗ്രന്ഥത്തിൽ വർണ്ണിക്കുന്നത്. നാം അപ്രതീക്ഷിതമായി പ്രതിസന്ധികൾ നേരിടുമ്പോൾ അവ ദൈവവചനവും ദൈവത്തിൻ്റെ വാഗ്ദാനങ്ങളും നമ്മുടെ ജീവിതത്തിൽ നിറവേറുന്നതിനായും ദൈവത്തിൻ്റെ അരുളപ്പാടുകൾ സത്യമാണെന്ന് നമുക്ക് ബോധ്യപ്പെടുന്നതിനായും ദൈവം തരുന്ന അവസരങ്ങളായി വേണം അതിനെ കാണാൻ. തക്കസമയത്ത് കാര്യങ്ങൾ വ്യക്തതയോടെ അവതരിപ്പിക്കുന്നത് പല കാര്യങ്ങളുടെയും തടസ്സങ്ങൾ മാറുന്നതിന് നമ്മെ സഹായിക്കുമെന്ന് ഡാനിയേൽ അച്ചൻ ഓർമ്മിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.
