    Warning: SPOILERS!

Next in “The Sittaford Mystery” adaptations is the 2006 French episode from “Le Petites Meurtres d'Agatha Christie.” “Murderous Melodies turns Captain Trevelyan into a pop singer with a cute singing girlfriend, the evil record company owner, the old songwriter, a leather-clad guitarist named Marlon, a dorky keyboard player and the shrewish secretary. Plus, Swan Laurence (Samuel Labarthe) is haunted by the ghost of his girlfriend, Marlene (Elodie Frenck) is president of a fan club, and reporter Alice Avril (Blandine Bellavoir) is groomed for pop success!

Is it too much? Is it a case of Sir Mixalot’s “Oh. My. God. Look at that plot!” as in the ITV 2008 version? Why am I asking you? Tune in and find out!
