In August 2007, emergency service workers arrived at a home in Florida to find seven-year-old Adrianna Hutto in a critical condition. It looked as though she had drowned in the families pool.
But Adrianna's six-year-old brother had a different version of events.
In this episode, we are joined by N Leigh Hunt, journalist and host of the 'In Esto' podcast, which offers a deep dive into the evidence surrounding this case.
And there is one important question - should the testimony of a small child be enough to lock someone away for life?

The Most Exploitative Show on Earth?
At the start of the millennium, four young American men in America
came up with an idea for a new tv show. Following in the footsteps of Jack Ass and Dirty Sanchez, shows that featured groups of men doing crazy and controversial stunts, they wanted to take this type of programming to the next level.
Their show made millions of dollars in revenue and their DVD’s sold in the
hundreds of thousands. But the physical and emotional damage this show
inflicted on some of the most vulnerable members of society, was the real cost of this production.
This is REAL.

(Please note in the first upload some listeners couldn't hear the 999 call - it's been re-uploaded so if you can't hear it, please remove the download and download again. Thank you so much)
In the year 2000, the average minimum term prison sentence for murder in the UK was 13 years. Today it’s 21 years. But if someone hasn’t been rehabilitated, and they pose a risk to the public or themselves, guidelines say that they should remain in prison.
In this episode, you'll hear about a man called Brian Whitelock, who killed not one, but two people…. And was then released, to kill a third.
