Il podcast “Seguire l’aquila”, ideato da Katrin Ziegler, docente di Lingua e Letteratura tedesca, racconta alcuni avvenimenti di storia cosiddetta “minore”, accaduti in un’epoca compresa tra il ‘200 Federiciano e il ‘300 Angioino. Mentre ormai la biografia di Federico II non nasconde quasi più segreti, poco sappiamo, invece, di certi uomini e, soprattutto, certe donne che erano legati allo Svevo per motivi familiari oppure politici, ma che, essendo stati di un rilievo storico minore, furono spesso dimenticati nel corso dei secoli.In dieci puntate il podcast, quindi, traccia le loro sorti, letteralmente invisibili, ma spesso straordinarie e, indubbiamente, non meno significative ed emozionanti rispetto alle biografie dei grandi protagonisti.
