Emre Varol — Upbringings, Faith, Career, Hobbies, A2SV, Incubation, Eskalate and more
This is my conversation with Emre, the founder and CEO of the non-profit organization known as Africa to Silicon Valley. A2SV is a nonprofit organization dedicated to building a sustainable tech ecosystem in Africa by empowering the continent’s brightest minds.
Since its inception, A2SV has trained over 800 students from 20 African countries, equipping them with world-class software engineering skills and connecting them to global opportunities at companies like Google, Palantir, Databricks, Bloomberg, and Meta. Beyond education, A2SV fosters innovation through its incubator, where graduates develop cutting-edge digital solutions addressing Africa’s most pressing challenges.
In this episode we talk about Emre's childhood, hobbies, faith, relationships, early career, A2SV, AI, Open-source, and so much more. Enjoy the conversation!
