“This could be the real thing. There is no where else but right here right now.” Over Memorial Day weekend at Movement 2015 (or as I prefer to call it Detroit Electronic Music Festival), my cousin filled me in on all that Giorgio Moroder represents, is credited with, and is still producing. Like many people my generation and younger, I just didn’t realize all that he has accomplished and has influenced. So I have been obsessing over his music ever since. The coincidence is I was already planning this disco revival thing for my Pride gig but things were just not jelling. My spirit guides must have channeled Giorgio through my cousin because everything for this set fell into place better than I had anticipated. So enjoy this set as a tribute to Giorgio, a shout out to Dimitri From Paris and a preview of my summer 2015 tracks. "Some people talk about you, like they know all about you." Sometimes it's true that the whole of a House set can become greater than the sum of its parts. It is never easy to plan a set for a crowd that doesn't know House. Preparing for this very situation, I decided to go headfirst and develop my own set of remixed pop songs.
