VJ Edgecombe hit the game-winner in overtime, capping off an incredible finish to the game for the Sixers’ rookie. Edgecombe scored 16 points in the fourth quarter and overtime to carry the Sixers to a much-needed win in Memphis, improving the Sixers to 1-2 on their five game road trip. Edgecombe finished with 25 points, six rebounds, four assists and four steals in the win.The Sixers also received big offensive games from Joel Embiid (34 points, 10 rebounds, eight assists) and Tyrese Maxey (34 points, four rebounds, 12 assists). Ja Morant had 40 points for the Grizzlies in the loss, with rookie Cedric Coward adding 28 points and 16 rebounds for the best performance of his young career.
