Differences between the North & the South of Norway (Episode 19)

    11/07/2026 | 19 min
In this episode, I give you a run down of some geography terms and names of parts of the country. Then we think out loud about a variety of differences I have encountered between the north and south of Norway, in three main categories: climate, culture and outdoor life.
I hope you learn something new, I certainly find this topic very interesting. It is wild how there can be such a difference between the people and nature within the same country. Sit back with a cup of coffee and a notebook to jot down all the facts, and get ready to think out loud with me.

What are your hobbies and interests? (Episode 18)

    29/06/2026 | 15 min
In this week's episode, I think out loud about my hobbies and interests with you, in the hopes that it will help you learn how you can talk about your hobbies. I also share how you can ask someone what their hobbies and interests are, and list a variety of other interests that you might have, so that you can learn how to say them in Norwegian. Sit back, take out your notebook and write down some phrases for some more active practice, and la oss tenke høyt sammen!
Tell me in the comments what your hobbies and interests are!

Why it's better to go slow in order to learn fast (Episode 16)

    15/06/2026 | 15 min
In this episode I talk about a few reasons why it is better to pace yourself rather than trying to cram and learn as much as possible as quickly as possible. It is tempting, especially at the start of learning a language, when motivation is high, to ambitiously decide to study a lot every day, hours on end, quickly finish one topic and move on to the next. But it is in fact better to go slow, spend some more time, and truly get the feel of the language.
What is your tendency with language learning? Is it to jump right in with high intensity, or to take it slow and steady, focusing on building a good foundation?
