Barry has been a member of the E Street Band for a number of years now playing Trumpet alongside Bruce Springsteen and the rest of the band all around the worldHe’s also toured with countless huge names including Billy Joel, Tower of Power, Queen Latifah and Barbara Streisand too and played music on hundreds of records.Barry & Iain discuss his musical origins, how he got started with the trumpet and playing Jazz music with some of the greats. Welcome back to the Record Collectors Club Conversations podcast and to a newepisode this week where Iain is joined by a special guest in she shape of rising star, Amelia Coburn.Amelia is a folk singer hailing from Middlesbrough who has been causing quite thestir recently in the UK music scene, gaining attention and praise from many musiccritics and fellow artists including huge names like Paul Weller!She's just collaborated with Weller on his recent record, worked with Bill Ryder Jones on her own solo debut record that came out last year and she's just starting on her follow up record amongst plans to tour in 2025 in some amazing venues in the UK.Amelia and Iain also discuss her record collection and the process of new artists getting their music pressed onto vinyl.

On this episode I continue on my Springsteen special's with Part 3 of series.In 2024 Bruce Springsteen released a documentary film called "Road Diaries”. This podcast episode is a special one as it’s my take on “Road Diaries” in what I am calling “My Tour Diaries”. Over the past 3 years, I have been lucky enough to follow Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band around the world on their 2023 – 2025 tour. Across those 3 years, I’ve attended 22 different shows on two continents, in 10 different countries and in 14 different cities. Throughout this extra long episode Ill discuss my stories from each of the Springsteen shows, the setlist variations, talk about the cities I visited, the people I met along the way and any fun anecdotes or encounters I may have had!
